Most of the movie was aladeen, but some parts were just aladeen.

Most of the movie is pretty witty. The satire is crude and unfiltered, but most of it is pretty spot on. A bit like South Park stories but with bigger children.

The gross out humor however could have been way shorter. Some low hanging fruit lowest common denominator jokes were drawn out unnecessarily. I had to skip several 10 minute parts, but I missed none of the story anyway.

The love story part was forced. The suspension of disbelief was stretched so far it was almost painful.

Overall it was a reasonable story and I did laugh several times.

It could have used some extra editing and other extra care, then it would be a really good movie.

What in the world lols

This movie is outrageous silliness of great humor and entertainment! Sacha Baron Cohen is a delight in his whacky ways! Starts off in a Saudi Arabia type place then continues in New York with so much unexpected adventures along. Pretty sure I've seen The Dictator years I forgot how enjoyable it is.

Crude...with a capital C!

Abadeen is the dictator of a crappy little North African country and he is modeled after the likes of Kadafi and Kim Jong Il. But, to make such a character more palatable, he is played for laughs--albeit very uneven ones. That's because "The Dictator" is an incredibly uneven film--with lots of funny parts and lots of unfunny and offensive parts. My advice is to DEFINITELY not watch it with your kids, your mother-in-law or Father Jenkins! But, if none of them are around and you have a high tolerance for this crude humor, then by all means watch. But I am warning you--there are lots of rape jokes, some full-frontal nudity and lots and lots of sex jokes. Worth seeing? I dunno--but it did often make me laugh--especially when I watched the Olympics.
