By no means does is this the best in the franchise I'd rank it behind the first and anarchy.
People are talking about how political the film is but that's what this series is about.
For starters this film is unique in the series it strives away from the classic trope of purge night and makes it last over a few days.
It also is set in Texas with a Midwestern feel which honestly I welcomed it's a great setting for this film to occur.
The cinematography in this film is actually really good and doesn't feel as basic as other entries in the franchise
All around it's worth a watch for just something different it's breathes new life into a franchise that was sadly dying by retreading the story each entry and it tries something different which I think is an excellent choice.

Plot summary
All the rules are broken as a sect of lawless marauders decides that the annual Purge does not stop at daybreak and instead should never end as they chase a group of immigrants who they want to punish because of their harsh historical past.

Anything goes with The Forever Purge.
With the Government back in power, The Purge is reinstated, and despite efforts to hide away from it, this time it's different.
Anarchy, The Purge has always been about a lack of control, this one descends into total carnage, I'd become a little disenchanted with the franchise, The Forever Purge sees something of an improvement.
It seems to ask a relevant question, what would happen if law and order ceased to be, and chaos ensued?
It is very, very well produced, it looks great, it looks like a big money film, the effects look pretty realistic to me.
One of the most violent, sadistic and twisted films of the lot, there are several uncomfortable scenes, several moments where you'll squirm in your seat.
People are criticising it for being heavily political, and focused on what's going on in the world, am I missing something, or does that not have a relevance right now?
It would be good if it came to an end here, this was a decent entry to the franchise, one I think which should signal the end.
7/10.
Woke-ness, politics, wealth, etc.
What is wrong with everyone? Stop dissecting movies based on your opinions or beliefs, and sit back and enjoy the ride. All these ones and twos are ridiculously undeserving.
This Purge is my favorite of the entire series. Beautifully shot and directed by Everardo Gout. Outstanding cinematography and score. Perfectly paced in its 103 min runtime. Non-stop suspense, action and thrills. I'll even go as far and say this was way more entertaining than F9. It was such a creative story - I didn't think there was any other twist they could add to the franchise that would 'wow' the fans, but this one was it. DeMonaco nailed this story. Casting and performances were excellent and convincing. I can't wait for the next installment.
I'd watch this film again and recommend everyone watches this with agendas aside. It's an all-around great film you'll be on the edge of your seat through-out, with actual unexpected scares and just the right amount of gore. It's a well deserved 9/10 from me.
