I enjoyed this film very much. I was feeling tired and stressed and I wanted to watch something to help me unwind. I found this on My5 and it was just what I was looking for. It is a quick-paced film with a story that keeps you guessing from beginning to end. Everything that happens is relevant, every single character is important, and Matreya Scarrwener is great in the leading role.

My husband turned his nose up when he saw me watching a 'Lifetime' style film, but when he came back into the room halfway through he couldn't help staying to watch what was going on. To me, that's a sign that it's a good film.

Lifetime movies have been borrowing from "The Hand That Rocks The Cradle" since time immemorial, but the first one in my experience to lift the asthma plot point... although the villain (who's also lost a child here because of the actions of a main character.. just like Mrs. Mott!) doesn't have an awkward with a picket fence... It's watchable stuff with a decent script from Declan Dineen, Lucy Foster and Victoria Saxton going for it, Stephen Graziano's score is super-derivative and occasionally tries way hard to ratchet up tension... and some terrible acting from some of the supporting players (although the main pair - Lauren K. Robek as the mother and Maetreya Scarrwener as the daughter, do well enough. The movie's a cautionary tale for overprotective mothers.

When mom becomes a murderer is a new crime drama from this rosta. This time around a young girl named ellie is getting close to finishing school and going to college. Her over bearing mother is always there and wont let her daughter go out and have fun. But after a girl she was supposed to meet called nancy is murdered all suspcioning points to the one person we all suspect. The actress playing ellie in my opinion was the best of the cast and did her role justice. Her mom not so much but the rest of the supporting cast were ok. Overall when mom becomes a murder is an interesting crime drama with some good twists.
